Philosophy of Worship pt. 3

The following plots show how the group declared their agreement with certain statements.  

(1) or the "left hand side" is strongly disagree;  (5) or the "right hand side" was strongly agree.

So for example:  in the first plot shown, we can see that we all mostly strongly agree that songs we sing should be based on scripture.

Please review and highlight plots where you would like the group to discuss the results.

 

The charts below attempt to show how we ranked the importance of certain aspects of worship.  I see now that there was some confusion in the sense that the most important aspect of worship would be ranked #1 (left most) and least important ranked #10 (right most).  Notice the plots "Clear Biblical Basis" and "Directed to God".  Most of us ranked those aspects of worship as #1 or #2.  Some ranked them #9 and #10 but I think they were confused about the ranking system.  

I notice that our top 3 priorities in worship are:

1. Directed to God
2. Clear Biblical Basis
3. Congregational Engagement.

I believe that is correct.  Kid-friendliness was ranked the least important attribute. (Probably rightly so.)  Based on averages here is how we ordered all the attributes of worship:

1. Directed to God
2. Clear Biblical Basis
3. Congregational Engagement.
4. Vocally Excellent
5. Musically Excellent Tied with Good Mixture of Vocals and Music
6. Deaf-Friendly
7. Easy to Sing
8. Easy to Lead
9. Kid Friendly

We can discuss this ordering, but I think it is pretty good!
